Eight-Day Streak for Dow is a Stretch
The Dow just barely kept its winning streak alive Wednesday, edging up a miniscule 0.04%. And judging by the reaction of futures to 8:30 a.m. data deluge, it looks like the streak might end today.
Actually, the numbers weren’t so bad. The Producer Price index was slightly worse than expected, but didn’t change the overall story much. (That narrative is that the predominant pressure on prices is pushing them down, something the we already know the Fed is worried about.)
And the weekly jobless claims were actually better than expected.
